Send a deletion request
Email the public Forget Me Not support address with Delete my Forget Me Not account as the subject. Include the email address you use to sign in so we can identify the correct account.
Do not include your password, reminder text, family information, screenshots or other sensitive information. We will never ask for your password.
We will use the minimum information needed to confirm that the request relates to your account before deleting it.
What is deleted
When the account-deletion request is completed, it removes:
- your Firebase sign-in account and account profile;
- family spaces you own, including their shared reminders, shopping items, tasks, memberships and invitations;
- your memberships and helping confirmations in another person's family space;
- the accepted invitation linked to your membership; and
- support reports linked to your account.
What can remain
Reminders, lists, preferences and an optional profile photo kept only on your device cannot be deleted remotely. Remove them in the app, clear the app's storage in Android settings, or uninstall the app.
Shared reminders, shopping items or tasks that you added to a family space owned by someone else remain in that family space. New shared reminders, shopping items and tasks do not store the creator's account ID. The content remains available to the family space owner after your membership and helping confirmations are removed.
Delete in the app
If you can still open Forget Me Not, go to Settings → Personal information → Delete account. The app will ask you to confirm before deletion.
